The Collegiate Scholars Program is a three-year enrichment program offered by the University of Chicago specifically for Chicago Public School students. Ninth-graders who have distinguished themselves through their academic achievements and contributions to their school and community are encouraged to apply.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme is designed for high school students who are highly motivated and desire a rigorous academic program. It provides a structured, writing-intensive curriculum that prepares students for selective university admission across the world. Ravenswood Elementary is a Fine & Performing Arts Magnet Cluster School. The school is also recognized as one of the top 25% of all Chicago Public Schools including all magnet, magnet cluster, special enrollment, and high schools in Chicago.
A number of International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (K - 5) and the Middle Years Programmes (grades 6 - 10) were videotaped at 16 elementary schools and high schools throughout all areas of the city in order to illustrate the effectiveness of the programmes and the positive impact it has on young children.
