Dana Kupper is an award winning documentary cameraperson and has been in the film business for more than 25 years. She started as a technician on feature films, and now works as a shooter for many high profile documentaries and commercials. Dana has traveled and shot in many parts of the world, working on projects to showcase different organization’s missions, or to tell the stories of regular folks to bridge cultural differences. She excels at going into people’s homes or workplaces and making them feel comfortable being filmed, thereby allowing us to share in their story. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Columbia College, and is an associate at the well-respected documentary company, Kartemquin Films.
We met back the the late 1980's at Columbia College film school during a very exciting, profilic time there. Together we produced the Student Academy awarding-winning short, Peas With Mom before embarking on a cross-country journey to film the dramatic feature, Motel Ranger.
